According to Sensefly is the eBee drone one of the safest drones on the market. We decided to put their words on a test and what better way than to do it on our own CEO, Steven Friberg.
Due to the user-friendliness of the Ebee drone was is quite easy to set up a specific landing zone where Steven in the best “soccer-style” could hit the drone with a perfect header.
As seen in the video the eBee have airspeed of 10 m/s in landing zone and drops down to 5 m/s where it was stopped by the human impact.
The result did of course not surprise us – not one single scratch on Steven’s head. On the other hand, one of the eBee wings got partially removed and experienced a bit of deformation on the wing and on the front because of the impact.
Actually, the eBee drones only have an impact of 8,75J. Compared to a Frisbee in the park or the on beach, which have an impact of 15,8J and an American football is 45J.
As shown by this evidence it is far more dangerous for the eBee to get impact by a human or another hard object.
